Obama Is Smarter

Wed Jan 02, 2008 at 07:08:34 PM PDT

"I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the middle east, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaeda.  I am not opposed to all wars. I'm opposed to dumb wars."

Why I Reject Hillary Clinton

Sun Dec 30, 2007 at 06:57:35 PM PDT

This morning on NBC's "Today" show, Sen. Clinton was asked about her 2002 vote and offered a slightly evolved answer.  "Obviously, if we knew then what we know now, there wouldn't have been a vote," she said in her usual refrain before adding, "and I certainly wouldn't have voted that way."

Why I support Barack Obama

Here's my letter to the editor:

The Iraq debate is meaningless

Sun Dec 03, 2006 at 10:59:56 AM PDT

Finish the job in Iraq!

Leave Iraq now!

Cut and Run!

Lie and Die?

Phased redeployment!

Three states?

Flip a coin for all I care. Just get on with Energy Independence

LONG TERM solution in Iraq

Sat Nov 25, 2006 at 10:45:48 AM PDT

I find it really tragic that everyone is so into this debate about how to handle the Iraq disaster moving forward. But Iraq is a huge, huge problem. It will not be solved in "4 to 6 months". It won't be solved by a certain deadline. It won't be solved with more troops for half of year or anything like that. It can only be truly solved slowly and over a long time.
